Newest Refinery Strike Shows 'Zero Safe Places in the Russian Far Hinterland'
Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles have targeted Russia's oil processing plant in Ufa, positioned approximately 1,400 km from the Ukrainian border, resulting in blasts and a blaze, according to a source in Ukraine's Security Service.

Two people died in a place of worship in the town when it was targeted, according to municipal sources.
In Russia's border region of Belgorod, a truck driver was fatally wounded by a drone assault, according to municipal sources.
Electricity Restoration Operations in the Capital
Work carried on on the weekend to repair energy infrastructure in the Ukrainian capital, after strikes by Moscow.
Energy had been recovered to more than 800,000 inhabitants by Saturday and the biggest power firm said the primary operations to recover electricity was finished though some outages remained.
Air Defence Efforts and UAV Jamming
Ukraine's defense forces neutralized fifty-four of 78 UAVs from Russia launched targeting the country overnight, the military said on the weekend.
The Russian military authorities claimed it shot down forty-two UAVs from Ukraine over Russian territory.
Cuban Government Denies Claims of Sending Troops to the War
The Cuban government on the weekend denied American assertions it has deployed soldiers to fight in the hostilities, while affirming officials in Havana "are without precise details about individuals" involved "independently" or "within the troops of the conflicting parties".
The government department in the capital stated 26 nationals had been convicted to jail sentences ranging from five to 14 years for mercenary involvement since last September when news emerged of Cubans being sent to the battlefield in Ukraine.

I Want to Live, a Ukrainian government program that promotes adversaries to surrender, said in spring: "We reliably know the identities and information of one thousand and twenty-eight Cubans who signed contracts with the Moscow's troops in 2023-2024."
The Cuban foreign ministry commented of those who might be involved: "There is no doubt that none of them have the encouragement, allegiance, or approval of the Cuban authorities for their activities."
